Dear Cheeca friends and valued guests,
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you our beloved Cheeca Lodge & Spa suffered damage as a result of a fire that broke out in the main lodge on New Year's Eve. There were no injuries, thanks to our employees' quick action and that of many nearby (and not so nearby) fire departments. We are very grateful for that, and also that the fire was contained to the main building and did not spread.
The resort is currently closed for repairs and an extensive renovation. Please keep checking our website for progress updates and reopening dates. When we re-open the legendary Cheeca Lodge, the upgrades and new style will be smarter than ever. Please bear with us during this time--we promise you the wait will be worth it!

We are still in the process of assessing the damage sustained to our main lodge from the New Year's Eve Fire. We do not yet have an estimated time frame for re-opening. Please check back for weekly updates.

We are excited to announce that we are now taking reservations for 2010! Please see Accommodations to learn about our opulent new Premier Suites as well as other room description updates. We anticipate our next update within approximately 2 weeks.

While sawing a beam in the roof structure of the Main Lodge today, a spark landed in a pile of debris, resulting in a small fire. The fire was quickly contained and the demolition team returned to work immediately following. Our re-opening timeframe remains the same and we are still taking reservations for 2010!!!
