It's unusual to hear the words “elegant” and “tiki bar” in the same sentence, especially here in the laid-back Florida Keys. But that's exactly what Cheeca has done with its newest oceanfront venue, the Beachside Tiki Bar. Nestled between the free-form pool and the deck of the Curt Gowdy Lounge, this elegant outdoor escape fronts the palm-lined beach and shimmering blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, with a bird's eye view of Cheeca’s trademark fishing pier.
Pull up a comfy stool around the large circular bar and order up our trademark Cheeca Margarita, a delicious concoction of Partida Tequila, Agave Nectar and Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice. You’ll never look at margarita the same after one of these. “You have to try it,” says Director of Food & Beverage Michelle Rifice. “The nectar replaces the Triple Sec and it is fantastic.”
Cozy, private seating on a long, well-cushioned couch runs the length of the southern wall of the tiki bar. It is the perfect place to cuddle up together or share some girl-talk with a friend. Of course, good conversation calls for good food, and there’s lots of that at Cheeca's tiki bar. Our menu items are not your typical bar food. For instance, try the Hoisin BBQ spare ribs with cucumber mango slaw or Free Range Lamb Lollipops. Our Fish Dip is a smoky combination of mahi mahi and kingfish, and the Kobe Beef “Sliders” are three double grilled mini-burgers stacked with red onion marmalade, candied bacon and Maytag blue cheese.
That's just for starters. Hot from our wood burning oven comes a wide variety of wood fired pizzas; Cheeca's signature pizza has a garlic cream sauce, Serrano ham, garlic shrimp and roasted tomatoes. Choose from a tasty assortment of Gourmet Flat Breads, including Shrimp Scampi and Beef Tenderloin served with mouth-watering pairings of vegetables and cheeses.
The Cheeca Beachside Tiki Bar is open from 11 a.m. to midnight for cocktails and beverages. The menu is offered from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. Join us there, and discover a whole new meaning for the word “tiki bar.”
